The Fletcher Hotel | By Benthem Crouwel Architekten

What a outstanding new landmark for Amsterdam, architects Benthem Crouwel have designed this astounding 60 meter hotel, The Fletcher Hotel that is. As the slim silhouette and the blue light illuminate the Amsterdam skyline, this is one sight that will still be around even after sunset. Even though the space of the hotel overall is somewhat limited, Bethem Crouwel was successful in using the space efficiently. The Fletcher Hotel consists of 120 rooms that circle the staircase which is in the heart of the hotel, the sixteenth floor houses five meeting rooms that can also be combined into one unit linked together. Though the hotel offers much more, finally, to literally top the amazing space off, the sky lounge sits at the very top of the structure. Even though on the floor below of the sky lounge, the seventeenth floor attracts many guests to its restaurant  Providing a distant range of impressive views of the capital of the Netherlands, this is one spot that I’d like to top the night off.

The new menswear boutique located on Madison Avenue, between 68th & 69th Streets, New York consists of three stories of pure Lanvin. Check it out!

Enzo Ferrari Museum | By Future Systems – Modena, Italy

Winning an international competition, in 2004 Future Systems broke the barrier on modern and innovative design for museums.  Strictly dedicated to the Enzo Ferrari, the museum houses exhibitions of the racing legend. Carefully protecting the historical structure of the building itself Future Systems combined the latest in construction techniques and energy saving technology, all while efficiently showcasing the cars.

Aether | San Francisco Boutique

Located in San Francisco, the brand Aether takes a very modern and innovative turn with there retail shop. What a great way to attract and gain customers. Already known for their “artsy” take on architecture, Aether takes it a step further. The boutique is created from three vertically stacked shipping containers, giving the space a very distinctive and industrial vibe. This overall also turns the space into a art piece on a large scale, or even in this case a gallery for there mainly internet franchise. The biggest feature of this project is the way Aether displays there merchandise. A vertical conveyor belt runs from the ground floor all the way up to the third storey. Allowing customers to browse inventory by a dial pad, also making it easier for employees to stock. Being as though the space is very narrow and limited, the conveyor belt also helps decrease space problems. Check out the video below…

Cega By Boss Design

Exquisitely engineered by British design studio Boss Design, the “Cega” chair is sure to put a very modern spin to office spaces and even add some color and level to a home space. The Cega is a personal high-back seat, designed to provide private seating, the table also adds for those (on-the-go) laptop moments, or to simply enjoy a coffee and newspaper. The design is made to reduce noise and to give a sense of privacy, the open top structure also allows just enough ambient light to pass through. This model is available as a stationary unit and also a 360 degree swivel. This is a nice design for those who enjoy a little bit of privacy for those public spaces.

LOCK Table By J.P.Meulendijks

Designed by Dutch designer J.P.Meulendijks, the LOCK table twists peoples perspectives on what is possible in the furniture making industry. The table is created from bent layers of bamboo vaneer. LOCK is formed by the natural curve of bamboo, intertwining each other while locking in place, creating not only a piece of art, but also a work of geometry. Now I can say that this is one table that your “out of shape” friend could feel comfortable sitting on.

Edgecliff Medical Centre Interior By Enter Architecture

Completed recently, Enter Architecture develops this astounding Medical Centre for Autistic children in Sydney, Australia. The centre consists of 3 radiating treatment rooms, a central reception area and lots of play space. I don’t think Iv’e quite witnessed a actual building with aerodynamics, the clean lines and ambient lights defiantly  make the space look very modern. I would say could you imagine what the future would be like, but it seems as though the future is already among us.
