Thank You! Two words that may not mean much to many people these days, however thankfulness is the only way we can truly repay God for all that he has done. I read not that long ago that offering up sacrifices of thankfulness and gratefulness is the only thing that God wants from us. Sure its easy to thank God for all the blessings that we can witness, feel, and benefit from. But what about the blessings that we cant see, what about the when we feel distant from Christ’s glorious presence, do you thank God when your feeling down in the dumps? As we being forth this sacrifice of thanksgiving, regardless of our feelings, God’s Spirit is able to work more freely within ourselves.
What Iv’e learned to do…(and I have to add that its only because God gave me the strength) is to thank God for anything and everything! No matter what kind of day I’m having, no matter how I feel, no matter what my situation may be, I thank God! This shows and proves that one trusts God and believes that He is LORD of LORD and Kings of Kings. You see…the more you thank and trust in God, the more you welcome him into your being, the more you allow Him to work in you. To have the Spirit of God in you is a feeling that is unfathomable, however you personally I feel as though I’m blessed with a spirit of not worrying about anything!
When your mind is “caught out there” so to speak and trapped in the ways of the world, you cant feel God’s spirit, you see neither Him or His gifts. Just to think that God is available in all of us, just waiting to be revealed, to know that the way to God is by believing and trusting, and thanking him no matter what the circumstance is already a blessing. I’m not saying thanking God for anything and everything is easy, however getting to know and attain a relationship with Christ takes one step at a time, one day at time. So! I have a challenge for you, thank God for everything! Anything and everything, trust Him, Have faith in Him, and Believe in Him, and I promise you, you will start to unravel the many gifts and blessings that reside in you!
“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” – 2 Corinthians :17
-When we trust in Christ to save us, he removes our heavy burden of trying to please him and our guilt for failing to do so. By trusting God we are loved, accepted, forgiven, and freed to live for Him.
Peace, Love, & Many Blessings
