“No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.”
Yes we all know, we live in a increasingly materialistic world today, and because of the economy people are more focused on bills and making enough money to pay them. People realistically serve money, POINT BLANK! This actually kinda touches base on what my last post was, which was worry-less. I believe if we put more emphasis more on what GOD can do for us rather than MONEY we would start to separate earthly values and heavenly values. Jesus contrasted these two when He explained that our first loyalty should be to those things that do not fade, cannot be stolen or used up and never wear out. I also find it quite ironic how possessions have the same letters as possess, you can’t allow your possessions to possess you. We should try to actually allow God to work in our lives, its not suppose to be easy, thats why you have to have TRUST and FAITH in God and His promises. The lower you bow down to God, the higher He lifts you up into intimate relationship with Him. The Joy of living close to God’s presence outweighs all other pleasures on this earth. True riches come from the riches of the Kingdom Of God, and not the world, this is how one truly is rich. Who do you really serve?
