Olek Strikes Again – Washington DC

Back at it again, artist (crocheter) marks her most recent piece of art, an Albert Einstein statue located at the National Academy of Sciences in Washington DC. The 12ft statue of one of the worlds greatest influences has had the gift of one of Oleks yarn-bombs. While visiting the Nations Capitol, its not all play for Olek, she’s in town to attend the 40 under 40: Craft Features showing at the Smithsonian American Art Museum. Confession: As a native of Washington DC I have to admit, I’ve yet to see this statue, this is something that must be done soon. Hopefully I’ll be able to also witness the works of this amazing craft as well.
