Good Morning – Keep Up Your Guards, Put Down Your Fists

Wednesday

It is very easy to get discouraged and end up feeling hopeless in life, however know that with God on your side, every set back is a set up for a comeback. Though we may think we are at the end of our rope, we are never at the end of our hope. Problems here on earth are just that, there just problems that our flesh are subject to. But what about our spirits? Though our perishable bodies are subject to sin and suffering, God never abandons us, even if we abandon him. Christ has won the victory over death, we have eternal life, this life we live is just God preparing us for our homecoming, where we truly belong. All risks, humiliations and trials are opportunities for Christ to demonstrate his power and presence in and through us. When opposition, and slander or disappointment threaten to rob you of the victory  remember that no one can destroy what God has already accomplished.

For we who are always being given over to death for Jesus sake, so that his life may be revealed in our mortal body. So then death is at work in us, but life is at work in you.  – 2 Corinthians 4:11-12

We are hard pressed on every side, bit not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair, persecuted, but not abandoned; stuck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.

– 2 Corinthians 4:8-10

A Prayer For Today:

Heavenly Father, I come to you today asking for your Holy Spirit to work in me like never before. I ask that you continue to drive out any negative thoughts from within me. I ask that you continue to strengthen me and allow me to trust you in all circumstances. Continue to demonstrate all of your miraculous powers through me and allow me to believe that you are and will always be able! Thank you lord for you wisdom and your love. In Jesus name I pray – Amen

May God continue to bless you all, have a great day! A couple more days till TGIF!
