Samsung Galaxy | Jay – Z – Magna Carta Holy Grail

“The album is about like this duality. How do you navigate your way through this whole thing—like success, through failures, through all this—and remain yourself?”  Jay-Z

First things first… WOW, how epic is it that this monopoly of hip-hop/rap trail blazers collaborate on one project! Timbaland, Pharrell, Rick Rubin, & Swizz Beatz all put there creative vibes together to work on Jay-Z‘s new project, Magna Carta Holy Grail. Announcing the project last-night during a commercial for Samsung on the halftime for the 5th game of the NBA finals, fans, including me wait patiently. Check the the Samsung commercial below!

I can tell now, just by this short video that this will be something EPIC! Those beats are insane! I can listen to this over and over again, all that talent in that small space…

The album will be released on July 4th, however only released first to Samsung Galaxy users. The first million who download a customized app for the galaxy will attain access to the album for free on July 4th. The album will then be released to the general public three days later.

Another interesting detail about this project is that  Jay shows some very unorthodox behind the scenes footage of the production of the project. We all know Jay to be more so on the “private eye” when it comes to him and his personal life, so this should be interesting. In the video he not only shows us how the inspiration comes about, but also shares with us his vision for what to expect for the album.

Besides the announcement, details regarding Samsung’s deal have surfaced. Samsung has reportedly purchased one million copies of Magna Carta Holy Grail already. At $5 a copy, Jay will (estimate)  have $5 million dollars in sales way before the album drops! Check the press release below!
