Good morning, one more day until hump day, hope everyone is feeling blessed. I hope you all have had you morning cup of java, today, I’ll be speaking on activeness in your faith.
“Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made good confession in the presence of many witnesses. ”
1 Timothy 6:12 (NIV)
Flee, pursue, fight, take hold. Some think Christianity is a passive religion that advocates waiting for God to act. But we must have an active faith, training, working hard, sacrificing and doing what we know is right. Our discipline and obedience largely define whether or not we will be contributors or merely spectators. Yes, it is true that all it takes is an ounce of faith for you to see the wonders of God’s creation. However, we must be active in this walk, we must not be lazy, we must stay cautious, and alert.
Once one knows who God is, we must not stop there, push on to getting the word out about who God is. We must be as passionate about attaining and taking hold of whats rightfully ours (eternal life) than anything before! How active are you willing to be to get to where God wants you to be?
Personally, I’ve found that the more passionate and faithful I become in my dedication/devotion to God, the wider He opens my eyes, almost like a reward.
Peace, Love, & Blessings
