It never ceases to amaze me how scriptures sent to me by God always come in order, in order to my life and situations I’m currently facing. This is what it feels like to have a healthy relationship with God, he knows what you need, you listen out for His intruction, and what he says to you is clearer than ever.
“He who pursues righteousness and love finds life, prosperity and honor.”
Proverbs 21:21 (NIV)
“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.”
Matthew 5:6 (NIV)
“Come, all who are thirsty, come to the waters: and you who have no money, come buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost. Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy? Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, and your soul will delight in the riches of fare.”
Isaiah 55:1, 2 (NIV)
*In this scripture personally, its almost like God is comparing worldly and material items to his everlasting nourishment and priceless gifts. God is speaking of eating his word, drinking his word, investing time in his word, without his word, how would he survive? All of His riches available and have no cost, but, we must be hungry for God’s word.
Food costs money, lasts only a short time, and meets only physical needs. But God offers us free nourishment that feeds our soul. We can attain this type of care by coming to God, listening, seeking, and calling on God. Gods salvation is freely offered, but to nourish our souls we must eagerly receive it. We will starve spiritually without this food as surely as we will starve physically without our daily bread.
So, do you see? God’s offering and willing to provide your every need, free! Materials of this earth only have a temporary fix, allowing you to feel good, but not be healed. God heals, as we need nourishment for our body, spiritually, it as important to feed on God’s word, for without spiritual nourishment, we will surely die!
Have a great and safe weekend!
Peace, Love & Many Blessings
